Rutgers signee Marquis Webb added 17 points and five assists, as PC simply outexecuted Wilcox Central throughout the entire game.
The Cougars opened up a 35-25 lead at the halftime break, thanks in large part to Webb, who scored a team high nine points in the opening 16 minutes. Watkins was saddled with early foul trouble picking up two quickies in the first half, but he recovered to score 12 of his 18 points in the second half.
Michael Williams, a 6-6 junior small/combo forward, paced Wilcox Central with 19 points and eight rebounds in defeat. Guard Dejuan Benjamin chipped in 12 points for Wilcox Central, but all of those point came in the first half.
Watkins has indicated he is interested right now in Seton Hall, Rutgers, Syracuse, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, and Villanova. Williams is open in his recruiting process and being pursued by most high major programs.
