Washington Set To Visit Arkansas

Michael Washington, the 6-foot-8, 210-pound combo forward from McGhee (AR) High School is currently receiving interest from a number of high major basketball programs. The No. 111 ranked player in the class of 2005 has indicated that he would like to take several visits before making a decision about his future. As it stands right now, Washington is scheduled to visit Arkansas during the weekend of Midnight Madness.
“Arkansas was in my home on Monday evening for an in-home visit,” Washington said. “I have decided to take an official visit to Arkansas during the weekend of their Midnight Madness. “Ole Miss, Arizona State and Nebraska are some of the other schools that have been to my house for in-home visits.

“As far as my other visits go, Ole Miss, Florida, Kansas and Oklahoma are some other schools that I would like to visit,” he added. “I have not scheduled anything with any of those schools, but Ole Miss, Florida, Kansas and Oklahoma are the other schools that I plan to visit.”
Washington, the No. 29 ranked power forward in his class, has already decided that he will not sign a letter-of-intent during the early period. He feels that it would be best to sign late, as Washington wants to make sure that he considers all of his options.
“I definitely plan to sign during the late period,” Washington said. “I just feel that it’s for the best. I want to make sure that look at all of my available options, so that is why I have decided to sign during the late signing period.”
