THE RIVALS150: 2015 | 2016

At Washington, Lorenzo Romar and his staff are busy replenishing the talent level of the Huskies program. As always, landing local talent has been a big part of the plan. On Monday night, they landed their fourth Rivals150 prospect -- and third local player -- from the class of 2015 when Matisse Thybulle committed.
A bit of a late blooming 6-foot-6 small forward from Seattle Eastside Catholic, Thybulle turned a strong junior season into an impressive summer. Thanks to his play on the grassroots circuit with the Northwest Express, Thybulle rose all the way to No. 120 in the class of 2015 and set of a pretty intense recruiting battle.
Through most of the battle, the Huskies and state power Gonzaga were out ahead of the pack. After visiting the Huskies campus on Montlake over the weekend, Thybulle -- who had already been to campus unofficially several times -- decided to make things official and committed to the Huskies.
A versatile wing player, Thybulle's strength is that he does a little bit of everything well. He shoots with pretty good range, he can put the ball on the floor to make plays for others and he is sneaky athlete who can summon up a little extra in order to make a tough finish at the cup or a quick drive.
The Huskies have never lacked for talent on the wing, but often times they've landed players that are more raw with immense athletic upside. Thybulle, will show up on campus much more of a skill guy.
Thybulle joins what is already a strong class that is deep on local talent. No. 51 in the class, wing Dejounte Murray is a four-star right out of the mold of Husky wings of the past. He is skinny, has long arms and is more prospect than finished product at this point. Also coming from in state -- but at a prep school for a year -- is dead eye shooter David Crisp who checks in at No. 148 nationally. Rounding out the impressive class is the only out of state prospect, No. 46 Marquese Chriss and athletic power forward from California.
