Washington has a top five

Having moved from his hometown McGehee, Ark., to Houston, Texas, Michael Washington is tearing it up for Heritage Christian High School, almost averaging a triple-double. Once the No 111 ranked player in the Rivals150, Washington's stock has risen even higher based on his play this year and the fact that he has reclassified as a junior. The 6-foot-9, 235-pound power forward now has quite an impressive top five school list.
"I'm hearing from just about everybody, but my to five schools are Arizona, Oklahoma, Arkansas, North Carolina and Illinois," Washington told Rivals.com. "I don't really have a favorite. That is such a hard choice. I have just been watching them all play on t.v.

"I'm not sure if any of them have offered because they are just talking to my coach, but I am pretty sure they have all watched me play this season."
Although his 25 points, 14 rebounds and 8 blocks per game are impressive numbers, his most impressive number is his weight of 235-pounds. Washington claims he has gained 15-pounds since this summer, primarily due to hard work in the weight room.
"I had worked out before, but not like they have me working out here," said Washington. "I have been lifting a ton of weights."
Washington, who will run again with the Arkansas Wings this summer, is also happy about the development of other areas of his game.
"I've got my shot down and my footwork right," he said. "I'm also where I can penetrate and dish or score. My game has gotten a lot better since I have been here."
