Good things keep happening for Lorenzo Romar and Washington on the recruiting trail.
Still riding a high after landing class of 2016 five-star Markelle Fultz over the weekend, the Huskies landed the No. 40 player in the class of 2017, Daejon Davis, on Tuesday a day after he and his mother took an unofficial visit to campus.
A 6-foot-3 combo guard at Seattle (Wash.) Lakeside, Davis announced via his twitter account that he was ending his recruitment and also confirmed the news to Rivals.com.
One of the best two way players in the class of 2017, Davis is an athletic and versatile guard who plays with considerable toughness given his slender frame.
Davis is a respectable shooter from deep, can put the ball on the floor, is explosive in transition and has the tools to be a dynamic backcourt defender. He handles and passes well enough to play the point and has good enough size and enough offensive firepower to play off the ball as a shooting guard.
Davis is Washington's first commitment from the class of 2017.
I am excited and blessed to announce I will be attending the University of Washington 😈 #DawgPackStandUp- Daejon Davis (@DaejonDavis) August 25, 2015
