Warren Will Suit Up Soon

Jamual Warren, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound combo guard, is one of those kids who seems like he's been around forever, but this is a bit of a make or break year for the Springfield, Mass., native.
Warren is back at Notre Dame Prep to boost his academic credentials in line with NCAA initial eligibility standards. And because he has a ways to go on getting his SAT score, many Division I programs are taking a wait and see approach with the slasher deluxe.

Notre Dame Head Coach Bill Barton told us that Fordham is the one program that has expressed significant early interest in Warren.
Warren is a bit of a nothing ventured, nothing gained type. He loves to drive to the basket, where his strength and athleticism aid him greatly on his forays to the bucket. He can finish on contact, but still needs to make improvements in his jump shot and decision making.
Despite his shortcomings, Warren makes things happen because he has a motor. His relentless attitude on the basketball court and physical attributes make him a tough match up for opponents on most nights.
While Barton held Warren out of Notre Dame's first three games, he told us last week at Army Prep that Jamual could see action this weekend when the Crusaders travel to Harvard and New Hampton for games.
We'll keep an eye on Warren's exploits as the season unfolds. Stay tuned.
