Warren Signs With Detroit
Elijiah Warren, 6-5, 225 pound forward from Pensacola J.C. in Florida has signed a National Letter of Intent with Detroit-Mercy of the Horizon League. Other schools that recruited Warren included Sam Houston State, Central Michigan and Central Florida.
Warren was named the 2002 Panhandle Conference Player of the Year after averaging 16.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. He played for coach Paul Swanson, a former assistant at Detroit on the late Ricky Byrdsong’s staff.

He is a resourceful player who generally maximizes his strengths and minimizes his weaknesses each time out.
Warren prepped at Hamtramck (MI) High School where he was a second-team Class B All-State as a senior.
