Warren Moves Over To 2004 Class

Jamual Warren may have played with the Paterson based * Tim Thomas Playaz program the past few years, but now he will literally have a chance to follow in Thomas' foot steps.
That's because the 6-2 Warren has transferred into Paterson Catholic H.S. in Paterson, N.J., the same school that produced the former Villanova and current Milwaukee Bucks stalwart attended in the early to mid 90s.

Rivalshoops.com confirmed this information with a source close to Warren at this past weekend's Five-Star Hoop Classic in Philadelphia. The source said that Warren will play this year at Paterson Catholic and then sit out at the North Jersey power in 2003-2004 while finishing up his academic requirements.
The addition of Warren to the Paterson Catholic lineup gives Cougars' Head Coach Tommie Patterson an explosive backcourt player to put alongside steady Marquis Webb. It might also free up big man Darryl Watkins in the paint, since defenses will have to respect Warren's penetration skills.
Initially, Warren was expected to return to Notre Dame Prep this fall, but that's obviously not going to happen now. He started out three years ago at ND Prep as a freshman, and then bounced to a public school in Holyoke, Mass., the last few years.
As a result, we are now listing Warren as a member of the Class of 2004. Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on his play and recruitment in the months to come, so stay tuned.
* The Playaz are now sponsored by Toronto Raptors' Vince Carter
