This cerebral wing is strongest when taking the ball to the basket. He also is a skilled rebounder. "I'm working on my shooting and ballhandling this summer," Ward said.
Schools looking at Ward include Lehigh, Lafayette, Colgate and Trinity College, a Division III school in Connecticut. "But I'm open to other schools," he added noting that he isn't in any hurry to settle on a future school.
Academics are no problem here. He has a 3.8 GPA and scored 1390 on the SAT. Ward is looking to the professions for a career, either law or medicine.
