Walter Murray Sparks Our Savior American

CENTEREACH, NEW YORK -- This was a tuneup for what was going to be one heck of a matchup in the final of the Maranatha Invitational tonight. Our Savior American blasted Dwight in the opening match while National Christian would upend the "B" team of Our Savior.
However, some of the sting was taken out when Jabbar Young had to be scratched. But it is still a very good final to watch.

Walter Murray, the junior guard, pushed Our Savior into the final by scoring 23 points. His effort gave Our Savior an 86-48 win.
Murray's first half effort, in which he scored 15 points, helped Our Savior forge a 42-25 lead at the half. From there, Our Savior coasted due to the efforts of Ouma Sylla, Juan Palacios, and Gene Selimi.
Sylla had 16 ponts, Selimi continued his hot shooting from the outside with 13 points, and his fellow sophomore Palacios had 16 points in a very balanced attack.
Next up is National Christian Academy. Young won't play. Charlie Bell will. Game time is 8:30 PM ET.
