Walker will play for Gators

The writing was on the wall on Thursday night as Billy Donovan and assistant Donnie Jones sat on the baseline at the Aldine Campbell Center to see Erving Walker of Christ the King.
After the five-straight three-pointers in a four minute stretch, the smiles began to quietly stretch across the Florida coach's faces. Maybe they knew that they would be landing the 5-foot-8 junior guard from New York would be joining the defending National Champions.

Walker formally accepted a scholarship offer from Florida on Friday, according to a source close to the situation.
The Gators have been hot on his trail over the last year and a half and hosted the mighty mite point guard unofficially back in the fall.
Walker scored 21 points in a tough 71-60 loss to Kingwood High School.
Rivals.com will have more from Walker from the Academy National Invitational.
