Waiting game for Hudson

Sleeper prospect Theryn Hudson, one of the better big men still available in the 2005 high school class, is preparing to visit SMU this weekend. Yet there is an SEC school at the top of his list. The only problem is that the 6-foot-9, 223-pound power forward from Lavergne (Tenn.) High School does not know whether that school's coach is leaving or staying.
"Theryn wants to make a decision on the 13th," said Lavergne head coach Barry Wortman. "He really liked his visit to South Carolina and they're at the top of his list, but it really threw a monkey wrench into things with Coach Odom considering the Virginia job. Coach Odom has never said anything about Theryn's status if he were to leave for somewhere else."

Middle Tennessee State joins South Carolina and SMU as the three schools Hudson is considering.
"SMU is far away, but he is going to visit there this weekend," commented Wortman. "Middle [Tennessee] has been on him for two years now, so there is a strong relationship there. But I really think that South Carolina is the place he would like to be."
Hudson averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game during his senior season.
