Wade Will Prep

As he is moving toward a decision on a college this fall, Lorenzo Wade realizes this: whatever school he picks, he will essentially be a member of the high school Class of 2004.
Wade, a smooth 6-4, 183 pound senior guard/forward from Cheyenne H.S. in Las Vegas, Nev., told Rivalshoops.com on Monday night that he will definitely be spending the 2003-2004 school campaign at a prep school on the East Coast.

Wade previously told Rivalshoops.com that he was seriously interested in Arizona State and Tennessee. Wade said he had been offered scholarships at one time during his recruiting process by ASU, Tennessee, Nevada-Reno, Marquette and Utah. He's also interested in Boston College, Southern Cal, Oregon and Washington.
Wade will host both Marquette and Tennessee in his home on Sept. 14, while Nevada-Reno gets the first in-home visit on Sept. 12.
Wade established himself as one of the country's best prospects with his play this summer. The two words that describe him best are smooth and versatile. He can play the one, two and three positions, creates effortlessly off the dribble and is a nifty passer in half court settings.
The biggest thing that Wade needs to work on is his physical strength. Because he is young for his grade, Wade has discussed the possibility of attending prep school after his senior year of high school.
This past season at Cheyenne H.S., Wade averaged 11 points per game. He should boost that significantly this season. He's especially looking forward to a December game against Oak Hill Academy at the Holiday Prep Classic in Las Vegas.
