Wade, Swann, Plummer Ignite Win

For the first ten minutes of the opening half, it looked like little known Champlain Saint Lambert from Canada might spring an upset over Hargrave Military Academy from Virginia. But Hargrave's roster is littered with high division one recruits and it eventually showed in last night's 75-58 win at the War on the Shore in Milford, Delaware.
Florida State bound guard Isaiah Swann scored 14 points, grabbed six rebounds, and added two assists while Lorenzo Wade who gave a commitment to Louisville last summer was equally effective with 12 points helped Hargrave push out ot a 39-25 advantage at the half. Included in Swann's points was a tremendous, in your face dunk with 3:28 left in the first half to give Hargrave a 31-17 lead.

The advantage increased to 51-32 on Wade's deep corner jumper from the left side with 14:16 left in the second half. Champlain eventually cut the lead to seven points but some nice inside work by Norman Plummer (headed to Dayton) provided the final cushion. Plummer also scored 14 points for the winners while teammate Ryan Wiersma chipped in with 12 points and seven rebounds.
On Friday, Hargrave had defeated a well-coached St. Thomas More team from Oakdale, Conn. Hargrave is deep with talent, a team that also includes Emmanuel Willis, a big forward who had eight points last night.
Negus McKenna scored 20 points and Maurice Joseph, considered one of the better players on Champlain's team, had an off night. He shot three of 15 from the floor and had 13 points.
