Wade Has Two Trips on Docket

Lorenzo Wade, a smooth 6-5, 183 pound guard/swingman from Cheyenne H.S. in Las Vegas, Nev., has scheduled a pair of official visits in September.
Wade told Rivalshoops.com that he will visit Arizona State from Sept. 6-8, and Tennessee from Sept. 20-22. Beyond those visits, he has no other scheduled this fall. In fact, he said he might save some trips for the spring should he opt to sign late.

Wade said he has been offered scholarships thus far by ASU, Tennessee, Nevada-Reno, Marquette and Utah. He's also interested in Boston College, Southern Cal, Oregon and Washington, though none of those programs have offered Lorenzo at this juncture.
Wade will host both Marquette and Tennessee in his home on Sept. 14, while Nevada-Reno gets the first in-home visit on Sept. 12.
Wade established himself as one of the country's top 100 senior prospects with his play this summer. The two words that describe him best are smooth and versatile. He can play the one, two and three positions, creates effortlessly off the dribble and is a nifty passer in half court settings.
The biggest thing that Wade needs to work on is his physical strength. Because he is young for his grade, Wade has discussed the possibility of attending prep school after his senior year of high school.
"Prep school might be an option since I am only 16 years old," he said. "But nothing is definite on that."
Wade said he has a 2.1 GPA in the core and missed getting a qualifying score on his first SAT attempt. He is slated to take the test again this fall.
This past season at Cheyenne H.S., Wade averaged 11 points per game. He should boost that significantly this season. He's especially looking forward to a December game against Oak Hill Academy at the Holiday Prep Classic in Las Vegas.
Rivalshoops will keep you posted on his recruitment, so stay tuned.
