Visit Set Up For Texas Forward

Cartier Martin, a 6-7, 200 pound small/combination forward from Nimitz H.S. in Houston, Tex., will take an official visit to Kansas State the weekend of May 11.
Martin spoke to the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com at the Kingwood Classic in Texas this past weekend, and he said he has been offered scholarships thus far by Kansas State, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Illinois.

In addition to those four schools, Martin said he is also considering Oklahoma State, Texas and Arkansas.
A player who swings between the low post and the perimeter, Martin has an excellent nose for the basketball. He posted up quite a bit this past weekend in Kingwood, yet he also demonstrated range on his jumper out to three point land. In order to play exclusively on the perimeter, he'll need to upgrade his ball handling skills.
Martin averaged 19.2 points and 12.4 rebounds per game this past season. He said he has a 2.4 GPA and will take the SAT for the first time in June.
Martin played this past weekend for David Salinas' Houston Select program at the Kingwood Classic. He will play with Select this spring and summer, and will kick off the busy July evaluation period at the adidas ABCD Camp in New Jersey.
