Virginia is for Jones

Jeff Jones always knew he would play in the ACC and on Friday, he made it official for the last time with a verbal commitment.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard from Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, Pa., personally committed to the University of Virginia while on a family vacation in the Old Dominion State.

The one-time Maryland pledge paired his choices down to Virginia and Wake Forest and liked what he saw in Charlottesville and decided to help the Cavaliers rebuild the program.
"Last time I committed, I had a good feeling that it was it. This time, I'm 110 percent sure. I know this is right," Jones said.
Jones, a dynamic scorer, is a huge get for the ACC school. He said he is looking forward to blending in with his fellow 2007 recruits.
"I see Virginia as a program on the rise," Jones said. "I like the future players they have there with Eric (Wallace) and Sammy (Zeglinski). I see my game fitting in with their games nicely. Those are the kind of guys that I want to play with.
"Playing in the ACC has always been a dream of mine," Jones said. "They are always on TV and always playing the top competition."
Now Jones will be a part of the basketball crazy conference. He's certain about that.
