Virginia Gets Center

Tunji Soroye, a native Nigerian and center at Montrose Christian High School in Rockville, Maryland, has committed to Virginia according to a source close to his recruitment.
The 6-foot-10, 215-pound Soroye visited both Clemson and Virginia before settling on Coach Pete Gillen’s program.

Soroye is the third Cavalier commitment along with small forward Adrian Joseph and Sean Singletary, the No. 11 point guard No. 55 player in the Rivals150.
The long and lanky Soroye is known for his rebounding defensive prowess around the basket, but he will need time to develop his offensive skills in order score in the ACC.
