Villanueva Still Recovering From Ankle Sprain
Charlie Villanueva, an agile 6-8 forward from Blair Academy in New Jersey, has been hampered with bad ankle.
It seem to bother Villanueva when we last saw him playing against St. Patrick last Monday night. "I am still trying to feel comfortable on it," Villanueva told us. "Hopefully in the next week I will feel better turning and twisting around on it. It is still a problem when I want to make a sharp turn."

Villanueva has many top division one schools pursuing him hard right now in the recruiting process. The list includes Florida, Illinois, Maryland, St. John's, Syracuse, Indiana, North Carolina, Seton Hall, and Villanova. "I am still open right now," Villanueva said. "I have not ruled out any school."
Charlie is likely to be a top 10 player on most "experts" rankings list for the class of 2003.
Charlie has some similiar skills that Carmelo Anthony has. But Charlie is a little bit more physical inside whereas Carmelo can buzz past you on the drive. When Villanueva attacks the basket, there are not many on the high school level capable of defending the basket against the long, extended arms of Charlie as he goes up for a dunk.
