Villanueva Ready To Make Decision

It's been a busy week for outstanding big man Charlie Villanueva (right) of Blair Academy in New Jersey. Villanueva, who dropped in 22 points tonight in an All Star event held on the campus of Hofstra, told us he was closing in on a decision. "I will definitely have a decision by Tuesday," Villanueva said. "But I haven't eliminated any school yet. I am just going to sit down with my coaches and family tonight and try to make a decision."
When asked if there was any chance he could delay a decision, Villanueva said: "No. I am ready to make one. I know what I like in each school. Each school has something different to offer. I just have to decide which is the best school for me."

Villanueva had a very successful past week. A source close to Charlie Villanueva, told us he had qualified academically on his SAT score. Villanueva confirmed the good news. Villanueva had taken the test on October 12th. He received the results back this week, according to our source. This is an important grade for Charlie, who would have likely tested the NBA waters if he did not nail the score. However, the NBA scouts are around. There were some in the stands tonight at Hofstra.
>LeBron James and teammate Luol Deng, will announce their school of choice at a 12 Noon ET press conference on Tuesday, November 5, 2002. "I am going to do it then," Villanueva said again tonight. "I just have to sit down and think about the pros and cons of each school."
Deng will choose between Duke, Missouri, Virginia, and Indiana. Villanueva will decide between Illinois, Seton Hall, Villanova, and Indiana. We will keep you posted in the next 48 hours on where both Deng and Villanueva might go.
