Villanueva Has More In School Trips

NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT -- Charlie Villanueva, a talented 6-9 forward from Blair Academy in New Jersey, told us that he has had several in school visits.
"Hofstra, Tennessee, St. John's, Villanova, and Seton Hall have come in for school visits," Villanueva said. "They talk to me about how I will fit in at their school academically and athletically. They have all been good. I have some more for next week too."

Villanueva told us that Illinois, Maryland, and Kentucky are all coming in next week. "I don't know how far I want to go away," Villanueva said. "But I want to hear what the other schools have to say. I want to see how they see me fitting into their style of play."
Previously, Villanueva told us that his list has been shaved. "Florida is not involved anymore," Villanueva said. "They had some hesitation about my game. So they are out."
Villanueva showed some great range on his jumper yesterday playing for the Long Island Panthers at Wayne Simone's AAU tournament on the campus of Yale. Charlie dropped in four three-pointers in the one game Rivalshoops.com watched him in action.
Villanueva did not make the first game of the day for the Panthers because he attends Saturday school at Blair Academy. This is a normal process for all students at Blair.
