Villanueva Cuts List To 5

Charlie Villanueva, the talented and versatile 6-10, 215-pound big forward from Blair Academy in Blairstown, New Jersey, has pared his list down to five.
Charlie lists Seton Hall, St. John's, Villanova, Illinois, and UCLA as finalists for his services. All of the schools have offered. Villanueva plans on taking trips to Villanova, Illinois, and UCLA, the three schools outside of the New York area.

"During the fall I'll take my visits, and by the winter I'll probably have decided on a school," said Villanueva.
Charlie will compete in the Three Stripes Tournament at Hofstra with the Long Island Panthers, as well as the Las Vegas Big Time Tournament and the Double Pump Tourney in California.
Villanueva was slow to get going on the first evaluative day of the ABCD camp, turning in an inconsistent performance in his opening game but picking up steam in the second.
Charlie told Rivals Hoops that he finished out the school year with a B- average. He has not yet attained a qualifying SAT score, and will take the test again in October.
