Villanueva Continues Sharp Summer

TEANECK, NEW JERSEY -- One player who continues to show strides in his overall game is Charlie Villanueva, an agile 6-8 forward from Blair Academy in New Jersey. A rising junior, Villanueva has shown he has the skills to have the complete offensive package. He runs the floor well and can pull up and take the jumper.
Villanueva had a solid game last night for his Bucks team at the ABCD camp on the campus of FDU. He hit several driving layups and ran the court like a guard. Charlie is a player who will consistently get you double digets in points and rebounds. He plays hard all the time and he finishes smoothly in transition.

Villanueva will be with the Long Island Panthers when they tour the summer AAU circuit.
Syracuse, North Carolina, St. John's, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Villanova, Kentucky, Connecticut, Georgetown are just a few schools that Villanueva has said he is interested in. He is wide open since it is early in his recruiting process.
The time for Villanueva will come this season. If he continues to make progress academically, there will be plenty of scholarship offers on the table.
