Villanova adds big man

Throughout the spring and summer before his senior year, big man Dylan Painter emerged as a high major recruit and Jay Wright and Villanova took notice.

As the summer wore on and the 6-foot-10 center from Hershey (Pa.) High began to be more and more productive for his grassroots club, Team Final, Wright and his staff went from noticing to full on chase mode.
Their chase was rewarded Tuesday when the three-star prospect took to his Twitter account to announce that he has committed to Villanova.
Somewhat of a late bloomer, Painter projects as an intriguing pickup for the Wildcats. He has a good solid frame that can carry much more muscle without costing him any flexibility or mobility and he runs the floor pretty well.
He's a solid shot blocking presence and is a solid positional rebounder and defender who has good hands. While he can finish with both hands around the rim and has soft touch on the interior, his real value is in his ability to face the hoop and stretch defenses with medium to long range jump shooting or make plays out of the high post.
The second commitment for Villanova from the class of 2016, he joins five-star big man Omari Spellman who is another with inside/out game.
Beyond excited to announce that I am going to be joining the Villanova Basketball family! Thanks for everyone's support #NovaNation- Dylan Painter (@dpaint4234) September 16, 2015
