Verdejo Piling Up Offers

Jesus Verdejo, an athletic 6-5 shooting guard from the Miami Christian School in Miami, Fla., has enjoyed a fine senior campaign for the Victors.

The Puerto Rican native has played very well for Miami Christian. Verdejo is an explosive leaper who can rise easily for alley-oop slams on the break. His leaping ability makes him a dangerous player around the basket or as a slasher from the wing. When his midrange jumper and three pointer are falling, he's very difficult for defenses to stop.

Miami Christian Asst. Coach Ed Auricchio told Rivalshoops.com that Verdejo has been offered scholarships by Memphis, Marquette and South Florida. Those three Conference USA programs appear to be the three finalists for Verdejo's services.
