Veal to the Big 12

After visits to his three final schools, three-star prospect Toby Veal has found his fit. The 6-foot-7, 210-pound forward from Savannah (Ga.) Johnson High School is headed to the mountains.
Down to Colorado, Auburn and Colorado State, Veal is headed to Colorado, giving the Buffalo's their third 2008 commitment.

Playing for Coach Bzdelik in a mountain setting was too much for Veal to turn down.
"Coach Bzdelik was the main reason Toby chose Colorado," said Veal's travel team coach Curtis Wheeler of Georgia Elite. "If he can become a NBA player, he thinks Coach Bzdelik is the coach who can make him one.
"He also wanted to get away from home. He liked all three of his visits, but he loved the scenery in Boulder and the mountain backdrop there."
Colorado plans to utilize the athletic and versatile forward to create match up problems.
"They see him as a three/four type player similar to Shawn Marion," said Wheeler. "They think he can cause a lot of mismatch issues with his versatility."
Veal is the No. 39 ranked power forward in the nation.
