With the late signing period fast approaching, Deonta Vaughn knows that he is running out of time. With that in mind, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound combo guard from Harmony Prep School is in the process of scheduling two official visits. If the three-star prospect is not ready to make a decision once those two visits are complete, Vaughn will take an additional visit or two.

"Things with my recruitment are going good," said Vaughn. "I am going to take official visits to Oakland and Cincinnati. I have not scheduled those two visits yet, but I hope to take them during or right after spring break.
"If for some reason I am not ready to decide on one of those schools after I visit each of them, I will take some more visits," he added. "Right now, I am only set on taking official visits to Oakland and Cincinnati."
Should Vaughn not be ready to make a decision after visiting both programs, the three-star prospect certainly has some options to consider.
While he has just one scholarship offer on the table at this time, there is no doubt that several other programs are interested in Vaughn.
"Nebraska, USC and Illinois are some of the schools that are recruiting me right now," said Vaughn. "Oakland is the only school that has offered me a scholarship, but Nebraska is real close to offering me.
"Taking visits to Nebraska, USC and Illinois is possible," he added. "I just plan to take my first two visits and then go from there. I don't know what is going to happen after that."
