Vanderbilt adds Rivals150 scorer

RANKINGS: Class of 2014 - 2015 - 2016
The recruiting effort being put forth by Kevin Stallings and his Vanderbilt staff for 2015 was already a strong one. Tuesday afternoon it got a bit stronger when Rivals150 power forward Samir Sehic made his decision.

A 6-foot-7 post scorer out of Houston (Texas) Cypress Woods who ranks No. 145 nationally, Sehic announced that he was committing to Stallings and the Commodores after taking an official visit to Nashville over the weekend.
While not the most athletic player in the low post, Sehic is one of the most highly skilled and productive. He scores with either hand, is comfortable setting up on either block and has soft touch that extends easily to 15 feet.
What Sehic also has is strength. He relishes contact and much more important than liking contact and seeking it out, he knows how to create it, finish through it and use it to his advantage at a level that most prospects don't understand until much later in their career.
In essence, he is an ideal counterpart to the big man Vandy picked up last week, D'Jery Baptiste. Baptiste is long, runs the floor, is athletic and has the body of a young Kevin Willis. But, Baptiste is totally raw on the offensive end and is mostly a garbage man and brute strength scorer at this point. With Sehic, the two can eventually establish a nice high low dynamic.
With Sehic and Baptiste providing a post duo that meshes well together, Vanderbilt has a well rounded class when you add in three-star shooting guard Camron Justice and Rivals150 small forward Joseph Toye. Justice can shoot it from distance while Toye is a transition athlete with size. Coming off a strong 2014 recruiting effort, a repeat performance in 2015 has put the Commodores program in good shape.
