UTEP takes wing out of Mississippi

If he keeps up at the pace he's going, people are really going to have to start worrying when they see Tim Floyd coming for a kid that they want.
Tuesday night, the UTEP boss proved his recruiting acumen once again by landing a commitment out of the nation's 69th ranked player in the class of 2012, Twymond Howard.

A physical 6-foot-5 wing out of Pearl (Miss.) High, Howard committed on the heels of an official visit over the weekend.
"I really just liked the atmosphere," Howard told Rivals.com. "I got along with all the players and the coaches very well."
Howard rose to national acclaim as a high school sophomore and is major pickup for the Miners.
An outstanding finisher in transition, Howard is also a tough defender, rebounder and a dangerous mid-range scorer.
While he believes he can make a big splash in El Paso, Howard will arrive with a humble mentality and is just looking to work hard.
"I believe I'm going to fit in well," said Howard. "I'm going to get into the gym, work my butt off and hope everything will work out great for me."
