UTEP mines Memphis again
UTEP has a sister city in Memphis. The Miners extracted two recruits out of Memphis last year and they are sitting at two for 2008 with the most recent commitment coming from Ridgeway High School shooting guard Jason Jones.
"I love the coaches, the campus, the environment," said Jones. "I love pretty much everything about UTEP. I've known all the coaches since they were on staff at Memphis when I went to basketball camp there."

Jones' commitment comes on the heels of Memphis power forward Arnett Moultrie's commitment to the Miners.
Jones, 6-foot-5, 190-pounds, is a competitive and physical wing who slashes to the basket and defends.
Although his only official visit was to UTEP, Jones also took unofficial visits to Tennessee, Memphis, Ole Miss, MTSU and Southeast Missouri State. He had offers from MTSU, Southeast Missouri State, Georgia State and Tennessee Tech.
