Utah lands another

Utah has struck again and the Utes didn't go far for the latest commitment in the class of 2008. Point guard Jace Tavita from nearby Brighton High School gave a verbal pledge to the Utes on Sunday night, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
Tavita joins Rivals150 big man Jason Washburn of Michigan and Texas native Chris Hines as commits for Utah in the class of 2008. New head coach Jim Boylen has wasted little time since making it to Salt Lake City.

"I just liked what Coach Boylen said, and the direction of the program," Tavita told the Salt Lake Tribune. "And I wanted to stay home and play in front of my family and friends."
The paper reported offers from Washington State, Oregon, Arizona State and Brigham Young.
