Utah center finds fit in Big 12

The last official visit Justin Hamilton made was truly the last one he needed to take. The 6-foot-11, 220-pound center from Utah is taking his game to America's heartland.
Hamilton told Rivals.com on Monday night that he committed to Iowa State, shortly after visiting the Big 12 school.

"When I went there, I got a great feeling about the school and saw the great support of the fans at the football game (against Iowa)," Hamilton said. "The coaching staff is really good and really supportive. I clicked with Greg McDermott. I think I'm going to fit in well with him."
Hamilton joins guards Wes Eikmeier and Dominique Buckley in the 2008 recruiting class for the Cyclones. The three-star big man played well with the Salt Lake Metro team in the spring and individually in the summer on the camp scene. Hamilton said he likes the vision McDermott has for him.
"He wants me to be a five that rebounds but then can step out and shoot the three on the pick and pop," Hamilton said. "He has done a good job on developing good big guys in the past."
Hamilton also visited and considered Pepperdine, St. Mary's (Calif.) and Weber State.
