Monday night, USC became the latest program to benefit from a flurry of June commitments. Making the call was four-star power forward J'Raan Brooks.

A product of powerhouse Seattle (Wash.) Garfield with ties to SoCal, Brooks has been high on the Trojans for some time.

“My brother lives right next to USC,” Brooks told Rivals.com earlier in June. “It is nice especially it being Southern California, which doesn’t hurt. I like how they get up and down the floor and use their big guys who are pretty versatile. I think I can fit in there.”

Brooks, the No. 59 ranked player in the 2018 Rivals150 becomes Andy Enfield’s first commitment in the 2018 class. Earlier this month, he mentioned Stanford, Washington, Oklahoma and Virginia as some of the other schools in the mix for his commitment.

The 6-foot-7, 215-pound forward is known for his ability to play both in the paint and out on the perimeter. His athleticism will give USC some versatility on the defensive end. He’s also developed the reputation for being a very gifted passer from the forward position as well as a high volume rebounder with good hands and good touch on the offensive end.
