Four-star small forward Matt Bradley is having a big junior season in California. At the halfway point, he’s currently averaging roughly 31 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists per game. He’s had multiple 40-point games already, and that has schools on the west coast buzzing about him.Nevada, UC-Riverside and Utah State are coming hard right now and have put scholarship offers on the table, but USC, California, Oregon State, San Diego State, Arizona State, and Gonzaga are knocking on his door as well.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: Bradley talks about his interest in some of the schools that could come through with scholarships offers.

USC: “I like their program. That’s actually the school I’d love to go to. If I got to know the coaching staff a little more and they actually offered me, I’d consider committing.”

California: “I like Cal. I talk to Coach (Wyking) Jones on a day to day basis. I like their program. The academics are hard, but I don’t mind because I make good grades right now. I could see myself going there and having a good time, and plus I have family up there.”

Oregon State: “I don’t know too much about them. I just know they are in the Pac-12. My mom has said Oregon is really nice.”

Gonzaga: “They are big time. They have a great basketball atmosphere. The tradition is pretty strong. I have a close friend Byron Wesley that went there last year. He was at USC and Gonzaga, and he said Gonzaga was a great school and a great fit.”

WHAT’S NEXT?: If all goes to plan, Bradley hopes to play out his final travel season and make a decision shortly after. The date he has tentatively set to announce his decision is his birthday, Aug. 19. With that date being a little over seven months away, a lot could change between now and then if the right offer comes along.

RIVALS’ REACTION: Bradley made it pretty clear that USC would be really tough to beat if they come through with a scholarship offer. Likewise, California would have a really good shot if they turn up the heat on him as well. Two mid-major programs, Nevada and Utah State, are leading as of now.
