USA Basketball: Aminu and Woods

Georgia Star teammates Al-Farouq Aminu and Tony Woods have become close friends and are also closing in on making college decisions. Both Aminu and Woods have expressed an interest in playing together and there is only one school they share on their school lists.
Woods, a 6-foot-11, 230-pound center from Rome (Ga.) High School, is down to Florida and Wake Forest, but the Demon Deacons hold the edge.

"It is a very good situation at Wake Forest," said Woods. "It is a top academic school and Al-Farouq is considering them. I'm favoring them right now, but I'm not trying to rush a decision. I'm waiting until it feels right, but I have thought about announcing at the Peach Jam."
A 6-foot-8, 210-pound small forward from Norcross (Ga.) High School, Aminu has narrowed his list to Georgia Tech and Wake Forest. Also considering making a college announcement at the Peach Jam, Aminu has relationships that are pulling him to both schools.
"Georgia Tech is close to home, and it is like a family to me," said Aminu. "My brother is there, and I know a lot of players on the team.
"With Wake Forest, Tony (Woods) might go there, and Ty Walker is a cool guy. I also like Coach Prosser and some of the players who are already there, like Ish (Ishmael Smith)."
