Upshaw eliminates two options

While many prospects still feel compelled to sign a National Letter-of-Intent, Robert Upshaw displayed some recruiting savvy by just signing scholarship papers with Kansas State. Now that the coaching staff is gone, Upshaw is a free man.
Is there a chance Upshaw, the No. 43-ranked prospect in the Rivals150, will stick with Kansas State? Is it possible he will follow Coach Frank Martin to South Carolina?

The answer is a resounding "no" according to Upshaw's mother Ceylon Sherman.
"Robert is not going to Kansas State, and he's not going to South Carolina either," Sherman told Rivals.com. "Other than that, he doesn't know what he is going to do."
Upshaw, a 7-foot center out of Fresno (Calif.) San Joaquin Memorial High School, isn't in a rush to figure out his next step. Instead, he is focused on a 10 day trip he will take with an all-star team to Paris, France.
"Robert is just taking time out to get ready for Paris," said Sherman. "When he gets back on the (April) 13th, he'll start to figure out what the next step is."
Upshaw's respite from the recruiting game isn't keeping coaches from trying to recruit him.
"Everybody is calling, but we aren't talking to anyone," said Sherman. "They are all just going to voice mail."
When Upshaw did commit to Kansas State, he was also considering Georgetown, Louisville and hometown Fresno State.
