Undecided four-star Tyler Harris considering fourth visit

One of the top available point guards in the senior class, four-star Tyler Harris is going to need to take at least one more visit before making a spring decision.

The high scoring 5-foot-9 point guard has taken visits to Iowa State, Colorado State, Memphis but decided to hold off until signing during the spring. While those three remain active, others like Tennessee, Clemson, N.C. State and Xavier have also been involved.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

Harris discussed the three programs he visited as well as Tennessee where he's planning to visit officially in late January or early February.

Colorado State: "I like it out there because Colorado, just being out there it's a whole different vibe. The coaching staff has been recruiting me hard, I mean really hard. I love that about the coaching staff."

Iowa State: "That was my first official visit and it went great. They have a great fanbase and the coaching staff is great. I have a really good relationship with them and I like their style of play. The players made me feel like I was already part of the team, they kind of took me under their wing. Lindell Wigginton, if he doesn't go to the NBA I feel like me and him could be a tough backcourt together."

Memphis: "When I was on my visit it didn't even feel like I was in Memphis and that was actually my first time ever being on campus. I really liked campus and I know that staying home could be great because I could be like a hometown hero and coach Tubby (Smith), I like him a lot too. They are selling on the hometown hero.

Tennessee: "I'm for sure going to take an official visit to Tennessee. I want to try and take it in late January or early February because they have kind of turned things up one me and are on the rise."

RIVALS' REACTION

Based on speaking with Harris, the Tennessee visit has a good chance of being his last unless somebody he can't say no to jumps into the mix. The Volunteers seem to have caught Harris' attention over the past few months and have emerged as a strong contender for his services.

Though Harris said there's a chance he could end things after a visit to Knoxville, we would bet on him waiting until at least after his senior season ends before making any kind of call. Iowa State nearly had Harris done in the late summer, Memphis has the hometown angle and at Colorado State Harris knows there's no question that he could be the man.

If we had to bet today, though, we'd expect things to come down to Memphis and Tennessee.
