UNC Visit In Future

David Padgett, a 6-11, 235 pound center/power forward from Reno (NV) High School said tonight that he'll probably be taking a visit to North Carolina in the fall. The young man has already hit the campuses of Stanford, Arizona and Kansas and was impressed by all three locations.
"I may take a fifth visit but not sure about that yet," he said. Other schools that he's considering at this time are California, Louisville and Maryland.

Padgett plays with the Pump N'Run squad out of California but will miss the Bob Gibbons Tournament in Chapel Hill later this month. "I'm going to the US National Tryouts around the same time," he said.
Padgett will be at the adidas ABCD camp in New Jersey, the Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas and Best of Summer in California.
An excellent student, Padgett said he's carrying a 3.3 GPA and will be taking the SAT this Saturday.
He said he plays the power forward position with Pump N' Run and is working on improving his ballhandling with the coaches.
Padgett is one of the best players in the 2003 class and one of the most sought after student/athletes. Padgett previously told us that he isn't looking to grab a starting job as a freshman, but would like to play and have some impact as a first-year player. Padgett finished up his junior year averaging 23 points, 14 rebounds and eight blocks per game.
