UMass lands another

The past two days have been quite good to Massachusetts head coach Derek Kellogg and his staff.
One day after landing the Rivals150 package deal of four-star point guard DeJon Jarreau and power forward Brison Gresham, UMass struck again on Tuesday.

Three-star power forward Chris Baldwin of Fitchburg (Mass.) Notre Dame announced via his twitter account that he will play his college ball for the Minutemen.
Not currently ranked in the Rivals150, Baldwin is a tough and athletic four man who has been either in or right on the cusp of the rankings for his entire high school career. He's also quite capable of making an immediate impact and is a nice compliment to Gresham.
Whereas Gresham is an activity and motor guy with length and quickness, Baldwin is a stronger player who has a nasty side to him. Like Gresham, Baldwin can also rebound in or out of his area on the floor but he is able to finish with some physicality and a bit more advanced with his jump shot to 12 feet.
Needless to say, Kellogg and his staff are putting together a strong group. Along with Jarreau, Gresham and Baldwin who have committed in the past two days, the Minutemen long ago locked up one of the most athletic players in the country in three-star shooting guard Unique McLean.
