UK, St. Johns, Illinois Inquire About Big Man

Chris Cologer, an intriguing 6-11, 210 pound center from Globe Tech in New York, N.Y., has some Division I offers on the table this winter.
Cologer scored nine points for the Knights in a recent 93-91 loss to Riverside Church. Cologer is very mobile and athletic, although he lacks the strength to finish consistently inside around the cup.

Globe Head Coach Kenny Wilcox told JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com that St. Joe's and Quinnipiac have offered Cologer scholarships. Drexel is also seriously involved, and Dragons Asst. Coach Chuck Martin was in the building last Wednesday to watch Cologer in action.
LaSalle and Pittsburgh were also at the Globe game on Wednesday night. Wilcox said that Illinois has been in to take a look, and St. John's and Kentucky have inquired about Cologer.
However, Wilcox pointed out that the schools such as St. John's, Kentucky and Illinois might only be interested in Cologer if he would red-shirt for a year.
Cologer could definitely use a red-shirt year should he opt to sign with a high Division I program. He can be a bit passive at times on the offensive end, and prefers to play a finesse game as opposed to a physical low post. Still, he has obvious physical and God given talent that makes him attractive to Division I programs.
Cologer, a native of France, averages 7.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and close to two blocks per game for the Knights.
Cologer plans to sign late, and JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on his future plans throughout the winter and into the spring.
