UK, South Carolina Look At JUCO

Barton County C.C. of Great Bend, Kan., played its last two games of the year at the Jayhawk Shootout, and Rivalshoops.com had a chance to see the nationally ranked Cougars gut out a pair of victories in Coffeyville.
One of the players we got a chance to watch was stocky 6-2 point guard Randy Pulley, who transferred into Barton after spending a year at St. Louis University.

Pulley might not have been on top of his game at the Jayhawk Shootout, but he was incredibly clutch in an 81-79 victory over Coffeyville C.C. back on Dec. 7.
Pulley drew a charge and hit the game winning basket to lift the Cougars to victory. In two games, he averaged 11 points and three assists as Barton improved to 13-1 in 2002-2003.
His play has sparked interest this winter from schools such as Kentucky, South Carolina and Louisiana Tech. Many others are likely to jump in throughout the winter as they determine their needs for the 2003-2004 season.
"Randy has to shoot the ball better and finish better around the goal," Wolf said. "But he's played very well for us this season, and part of it's probably my fault for playing him too many minutes."
Rivalshoops.com plans on catching Barton County again later this winter, but in the meantime, we will keep you posted on Pulley's recruitment as Jayhawk West Conference play gets under way.
