UK, South Carolina Go JUCO Hunting

Perhaps the toughest position to find quality talent in the JUCO ranks is the point guard slot. So it's not exactly a complete shock that a lot of high majors looking for help in running their show are making Barton County point guard Randy Pulley a recruiting priority this winter.
Pulley, a stocky 6-2 floor general from Raleigh, N.C., spent his freshman year at St. Louis University of Conference USA. He played significant minutes for the Billikens last year, and entering this weekend's Jayhawk Shootout was averaging 12.1 points and 6.3 assists in leading the Cougars to an 11-1 start.

For whatever reason, Pulley and his Barton teammates struggled in a 74-63 victory over Highland C.C. on Friday at the Jayhawk Shootout. In 33 minutes of play, Pulley collected seven points, two rebounds, one assists and two turnovers.
He'll need to significantly boost that production if the Cougars are to upend host Coffeyville later today at the Shootout.
According to Wolf, Kentucky, South Carolina and Louisiana Tech are just some of the programs who are going to take a look at Pulley this winter.
UK Asst. Scott Rigot, who has recruited Barton players in the past in previous stints at UAB and Hawaii, called Wolf recently to let him know that Pulley could be a potential spring signing target for the Wildcats.
Rivalshoops.com will be in Coffeyville through Saturday night's games, and we will keep you posted on Pulley's play, so stay tuned.
