UK Lands Combo Forward

Sheray Thomas, a 6-8, 220-pound forward from Riverdale Baptist in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, committed to Kentucky this afternoon, according to school officials at Riverdale Baptist.
It was just 48 hours ago that Thomas told RivalsHoops.com that he had a new leader in his recruiting process. Heading into this weekend's official visit to Lexington, Kentucky, Sheray Thomas listed Virginia as his leader. "It's Kentucky now," Thomas said previously. "I am close to committing. I had such a great time there."

When asked what he liked about Kentucky, Thomas said: "Everything. I like the coaches. I liked the players. It was a great atmosphere for basketball. The fans are crazy about basketball."
Thomas lived up to his previous thoughts. He made the decision official today.
Thomas previously said he was also considering Richmond, Connecticut, Syracuse, and West Virginia. RivalsHoops.com watched Sheray play at the St. James Invitational in February and the Southern Invitational last Spring. Thomas performed well. He showed he has a nice medium range game and a soft touch.
Potentially, Thomas is a top 100 player. Thomas showed he has some offensive skills that could allow him to be a combo forward on the college level. If his perimeter games extends even further out near the three-point line, he could play the three slot.
