UConn Purdue Closely Tracking Mullins

Three star 2005 prospect Bryan Mullins will lead his Downers Grove South (Ill.) High School team against Willowbrook High School in the sectional finals tonight. On the line is a berth into the state tournament and a match up against West Aurora High School, led by Shaun Pruitt (Illinois) and Justin Cerasoli (Seton Hall).
Plenty of schools are tracking the 6-foot, 170-pound point guard who can do a little bit of everything.

Mullins’ stat line in Downers Grove South’s sectional semifinal win highlights his versatility. He had 13 points, 7 assists, 7 steals, and 7 rebounds for the game.
According to Mullins’ father and AAU coach of the Illinois Wolves, both Purdue and Connecticut are in the process of scheduling in-school visits with Mullins.
“Both Purdue and UConn called this week to set up visits where they can see Bryan at school,” said Coach Mullins. “This is the first time we have heard from Purdue since the fall. We have been in constant contact with UConn. Rutgers, Clemson, and New Mexico are also heavily involved. And all the MAC schools are at his games.”
Downers Groves South is 25-4 on the year with the best record in the history of the school. Last year they ended No. 1 team in the state West Aurora’s season in the first round of the state before losing in the round of eight.
