UCONN Hosts Star Junior Guard

Will Blaylock, a quick 6-0 guard from East Boston High School in Boston, Massachusetts, is a player to keep a close eye on this upcoming winter. Blaylock is a member of the class of 2003.
Blaylock, who plays for the traditional AAU powerhouse BABC, had a solid summer during the July evaluation period. This has certainly made more top division one coaches aware of his abilities.

Blaylock took an unofficial visit to Connecticut yesterday. He had a chance to walk around the campus, meet some of the players, and talk to the Connecticut coaches about their program.
Will had indicated to us during the summer he was wide open but was receiving heavy interest from the Big East, Atlantic Ten and ACC schools. He had told us last month that he had no leader but wanted to play in a system where the school runs the ball.
One can understand Will's desire to be part of that type of program since Blaylock seems to thrive in an open offense. He can move quickly to the basket and seemed more effective when he took his dribble to the hoop.
