Tyrell Biggs Has High Interest

Tyrell Biggs, a burly 6-7, 280 pound freshman forward from Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, N.J., has enjoyed a solid campaign for the Ironmen.
The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com was at Biggs' game on Tuesday night against Passaic H.S. He scored 11 points in a 50-44 Don Bosco victory.

Because of his size and skills on the basketball court, Biggs has been quite well known on the hoops circuit for the past several years. He has played with the Riverside Church traveling program, typically in the older divisions due to his immense size.
Biggs has tremendous hands and footwork, and that combination makes him a potent offensive threat in the low post. He's also a very skilled passer, and he often plays on the high post at Don Bosco simply because of that ability and his high basketball IQ.
"I wish we could take credit for that," joked Don Bosco Head Coach Kevin Diverio. "But he had that when he got here."
Biggs will be no laughing matter for foes in North Jersey to deal with over the next three and a half years. He is very reminiscent of Florida signee Mario Boggan in terms of his size and skills, although Biggs is definitely a better passer at this stage.
Diverio said that Big East schools and other high majors have been through to watch Don Bosco, and they all like what they see in Biggs.
We expect to have many, many more opportunities to catch Biggs in action in the coming months and years, and look forward to continue watching him develop both on and off the basketball court. He is truly a special talent.
