Two visits set for Hollis

Coming into the summer, Damian Hollis didn't have a big national reputation. The 6-foot-7, 180-pound small forward from Taravella High School in Coral Springs, Fla., did enough on the hardwood to help change that. Now he's eyeing a pair of official visits and has a number of other schools looking at him a little harder.
Playing with the South Florida Heat AAU program, Hollis showed off his knack for knocking down the long ball, a nice handle and great size for a wing. Coaches liked what they saw and Hollis said his summer ended better than it started.

"If I didn't have the summer like I did, I wouldn't be the ballplayer that I am right now," Hollis said. "I thought I played pretty well in front of all of the scouts. That really helped my recruitment."
His recruitment bolstered. Several programs jumped into the fray and Hollis said he's even eye-balling two visits in the coming weeks. Seton Hall and Florida Atlantic in the coming weeks.
"I just like those schools and everything that they have sent me so far as far as class size goes and tradition," Hollis said of both programs.
Coaches from both programs were a familiar sight in the stands at both the Main Event and the Las Vegas Summer Classic to close out the summer. Hollis said that consistency helped him decide to set up visit to both schools.
"That played a big part for me," Hollis said. "I figured I'd return the favor to them because they were one of the first schools to really come and see me."
George Washington, St. Bonaventure, Akron, West Virginia and Nebraska are also looking at Hollis but he said he might wait things out until the spring before committing and even signing a National Letter of Intent.
"I might sign late and see if that opens any doors for me with more coaches coming out and seeing me," Hollis said. "If all goes well I'll be signing in (the spring) at the latest."
One school that is missing from his list is Indiana. In July, Hollis said the Hoosiers had offered
"I think they got somebody else at my position," Hollis said. "I haven't seen much from them lately."
