Two Sport Star Headed To Quinnipiac

Patrick Egan, a skilled and developing 6-8, 210 pound combination forward from Rocky Hill H.S. in Rocky Hill, Conn., recently committed to the Quinnipiac basketball program.
Egan told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he picked Quinnipiac after considering overtures from Central Connecticut State, Boston University, Maine, Towson and Sacred Heart.

He took his only official visit to Quinnipiac earlier this year.
"I thought it would be a perfect fit," Egan said. "They push the ball up the floor, penetrate and kick out to the shooters. It's kind of the system I saw myself playing in."
Egan is well known for his shooting acumen, so there's a good chance that he will be able to spend some time on the wing at Quinnipiac. For his high school team, he does double duty in the paint because of his height.
"I am working on getting a quicker release right now," he said.
Egan is also considered to be a pro baseball prospect down the road by many, and he attended a baseball showcase down in North Carolina this past summer. He hopes to walk on the baseball team at Quinnipiac.
"I will pursue baseball as well as basketball," he said. "Some people have said that I have the talent to play baseball beyond college."
Egan is one of the top scorers in the state of Connecticut this year. During the spring and summer months, he played with the Connecticut Starters basketball program.
He plans on signing a national letter of intent for basketball with Quinnipiac this spring.
