Two schools emerging for Baciu

Although he needs to develop a more physical side to his game, four-star prospect Catalin Baciu is an intriguing prospect because of his length and skill level. Apparently, two schools are emerging as favorites for the 7-foot-1, 230-pound center from Asheville (N.C.) Veritas Christian School.
According to Veritas head coach John Jordan, Baciu will visit Clemson on Friday and then South Carolina on Tuesday. Coach Dave Odom has recently attended back to back open gyms at Veritas Christian.

An important aspect to the recruitment of Baciu is the situation of his senior teammate Jonah Baize, who is a potential walk on candidate at both South Carolina and Clemson. Baciu has indicated that he would like to go to the same school that his good friend Baize attends.
"If both of my guys can end up at the same SEC or ACC school, I would be very pleased," said Coach Jordan. "I have told Bo Bo (Baciu) if he finds a coach and school he likes, he can end the process right then and commit."
Catalin Baciu scouting report:
A finesse player in the Euro mold, Baciu can score with either hand and has a soft touch. His hands and feet are pretty good, but he definitely needs to bulk up and increase his aggression for the American game.
