Two remain for four-star point guard

One of the top point guards in the class of 2017, four-star floor general Lavar Batts has cut his list of schools down to two.

The No. 95 ranked player in the senior class, Batts cut his list down to seven just a few weeks ago. Now, the product of Concord (N.C.) Robinson has decided that it's time to make another cut.

On Thursday night, Batts informed Rivals.com that a pair of schools have emerged as his finalists.

“I cut it down to two, Clemson and VCU,” Batts said.

Though he has yet to set official visit dates for either the Tigers or Rams, a decision appears to be imminent.

“I’m going to be deciding soon, like in the next couple weeks,” Batts added.

Recent buzz has suggested that Clemson could be in strong position here but Batts has not hinted one way or another at any possible leader.

One of the most athletic ball handlers in the country, Batts has the ability to get into the lane and make plays for others on a regular basis and has the tools to be an instant impact player at whichever program he picks.
